How to Report SafeSport Violations
The SCVA abides by the SafeSport Guidelines and regulations at all of our events to do our best to ensure each event is a safe place for all players and attendees.

​Report to the U.S. Center for SafeSport​​​​​​​​​​​
The U.S. Center for SafeSport has exclusive jurisdiction to investigate and resolve reports of the following allegations within the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement:

Sexual misconduct or child sexual abuse

Criminal charges involving child abuse or sexual misconduct

Retaliation for reporting
-
Violations of the Center's process
-
Intimate relationships involving an imbalance of power

Report other types of misconduct
Other forms of misconduct, such as emotional or physical misconduct, may be handled directly by your sport's national governing body (NGB). However, you also have the option to report these issues to the U.S. Center for SafeSport. These types of violations include:

Physical misconduct

Emotional misconduct

Bullying

Hazing

Harassment, including sexual harassment

Violations of the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP)
Who should report?
Anyone can make a report to the U.S. Center for SafeSport. You do not need to be an athlete, and you do not need to have personally experienced the abuse or misconduct.
Important considerations

Legal requirements: Mandatory reporters have a legal obligation to report suspected child abuse to local law enforcement within 24 hours.

Anonymity: The online reporting form with the U.S. Center for SafeSport allows you to file reports anonymously.

Emergency situations: If you are facing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately.
