Schedules:

Specific pools, courts, and complete schedules will be available at SportWrench.

Pool Play Schedule:

Pool play will consist of round robin play with matches scheduled every hour.  All matches will be the best 2 out of 3 sets to 25, with the deciding set to 15. Teams will not switch sides of the court between sets, or in the deciding set. The following is the pool play schedule for a pool of 4 teams:

          Match 1: Team 1 vs Team 3 – Team 2 officiates

          Match 2: Team 2 vs Team 4 – Team 1 officiates

          Match 3: Team 1 vs Team 4 – Team 3 officiates

          Match 4: Team 2 vs Team 3 – Team 1 officiates

          Match 5: Team 3 vs Team 4 – Team 2 officiates

          Match 6: Team 1 vs Team 2 – Team 4 officiates

Rosters:

Each team must have a verified roster on SportWrench with completed online check-in.

Warm Up Procedures:

Warmups will consist of 2 minutes of shared court time for ball handling, 4 minutes of exclusive court time for the serving teams, and 4 minutes of exclusive court time for the receiving team.

When one team has exclusive use of the court, the other team must be at their bench; they may not use balls or be in the spectator areas.

The event will have some balls for traveling teams to borrow.  They will be available at the Championship desks and will be given out on a first-come, first served basis.  A representative will need to leave a photo identification at the desk and will receive it back when the balls are returned at the completion of the wave.

Officiating Duties:

The officiating team will consist of SIX people:

1.       1 2nd Official – Must be a rostered adult (no players)

2.       2 Linepersons

3.       1 Official VolleyStation scorekeeper

4.       1 Visible Scoreboard Keeper

5.       1 Libero Tracker

A team that fails to have a complete officiating crew available for an officiating assignment - including a rostered adult (preferably a team coach) for that team - at the time the court official is ready to proceed can be penalized by losing points in the first set of its next match.  For every minute an officiating team is late to fulfill its assignment, one point will be awarded to that team’s next opponent in the first set of the next match, up to a maximum of 25 points.  Penalty points begin to accumulate at the start of the receiving team’s warm-up.  An adult listed on the event roster must be present at the scorer’s table and easily identifiable while any members of the team are officiating. Each team will also be responsible for providing the device on which the online scoring system of VolleyStation will be used.
